Papercutz Packs Their Bags For Sunny San Diego Comic Con!

Make sure you bring some extra sunscreen, because we have a sizzling San Diego Comic Con coming your way! From giveaways to author signings and more, we at Papercutz are beyond excited to see you all at the biggest comic convention of the year at Booth #2806! Check out the breakdown of our plans below:

Join us all day July 21st at Booth #2806 for Papercutz Day to find out about your favorite graphic novels, from YAHGZ to DIGITAL LIZARDS OF DOOM to ATTACK OF THE STUFF! We’ll be holding a raffle throughout the day, where one lucky winner will be announced at 6pm to receive a Papercutz Tote Bag full of goodies like a signed copy of YAHGZ THE CRAYNOBI TALES , a sketch from Jim Benton, creator of ATTACK OF THE STUFF, and a super charged edition of THE LOUD HOUSE SUPER SPECIAL!

Join renowned author Jim Benton for a signing of his latest work, “Attack of the Stuff.”

11:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Fantastic Adventures, Exercising Imaginations Room: Shiley Special Events Suite, San Diego Central Library
  • Engage with middle-school teacher Lisa Harrison and a panel of talented creators, including Nichole Santangelo, Franco Aureliani, Odunze Oguguo (a.k.a. Whyt Manga), Lucas Turnbloom, Gabriel Valentin, and F. C. Yee, as they explore the power of graphic novels in education. Followed by a signing of DIGITAL LIZARDS OF DOOM posters!

1:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Filling the Shelves
Room: Shiley Special Events Suite, San Diego Central Library

  • Delve into the world of graphic novels and their impact on readers of all ages with a panel featuring Gina Bottini, Yukiko Chavez, Rich Johnson, Art Baltazar, Kazu Kibuishi, Jana Tropper, and Dr. Lesley S. J. Farmer. Followed by a signing of YAHGZ THE CRAYNOBI TALES!

  • Get a preview of “Digital Lizards of Doom” and meet Gabriel Valentin and THE Dizzy Doom during a special signing session

  • Meet Art Baltazar, the creative genius behind YAHGZ:THE CRAYNOBI TALES, a fantastic comedy adventure series from the early days of his career, brought back and refreshed for modern audiences!

  • Dive into the fascinating world of the Smurfs during the panel “The Smurfs 65th Anniversary: Celebrating 65 Smurf-Yacular Years!” Moderated by Nerdist’s Dan Casey, this panel features special guests including Dana Cluverius from Nickelodeon, Javon Frazier from Maestro Media, Mike Marts from Mad Cave Studios, Vincent Gallopain from Microids, and a surprise guest you won’t want to miss!
